Way to leave President Trump hanging, Jim Carrey.
Actor-artist Carrey took to Twitter on Tuesday, following the news that former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort had been found guilty on eight counts pleaded guilty to multiple charges including two campaign finance violations, to weigh in on the situation.
In his latest artwork, Carrey christened Trump as “the Great Spewdini.”
The art itself was a play on an iconic escape trick by magician Harry Houdini, depicting Trump dangling upside-down many stories above the street, an American flag wrapped around his ankles the only thing keeping him aloft, with his body bound by a straitjacket.
“Manafort, GUILTY! Cohen, GUILTY! Flynn, Guilty! Gates, Guilty! What’s happening to All the Best People?” Carrey wrote.
He continued, “Ladies and Gentlemen! Children of all ages! Can the Great Spewdini spew enough lies to escape the straight-jacket of his un-Presidented criminality?’”
Trump did, in fact, do a fair amount of talking about his former associates on Twitter, saying on Wednesday that he feels “very badly” for Manafort and adding that he has such “respect for a brave man!”
Trump was less charitable toward Cohen, writing, “If anyone is looking for a good lawyer, I would strongly suggest that you don’t retain the services of Michael Cohen!”
