Jim Carrey apologized to assault weapons owners on Twitter after calling them out on the very same social media platform within the past 12 months.
Here is the actor's recent attempt to make amends:

After the Aurora, Colorado "Dark Knight Rises" theater shooting last July, Carrey tweeted, "My love to the victims in Colorado. The kid was sick bt u who can still support automatic weapons sales r the real maniacs in this country."

Then, Carrey now-famously announced in June that he was withdrawing his support from his new movie "Kick-Ass 2," claiming he will not do any publicity for the film after the Sandy Hook Elementary massacre.
