Exclusive interview with Sandra Bullock’s unfaithful husband draws bigger audience than “Tonight Show” and “Late Night”

An exclusive interview with Sandra Bullock’s unfaithful husband, Jesse James, helped "Nightline" draw a whopping 6.8 million viewers, its biggest audience since March 21, 2003, according to Nielsen fast affiliate ratings.

ABC News’ late-night news show outdrew both NBC’s "The Tonight Show" and CBS’ "The Late Show With David Letterman."

In addition to drawing some 3 million viewers more than both "Tonight," which garnered 3.6 million viewers, and "Letterman," which drew 3.4 million, "Nightline" also posted a rare win over the shows in key demos.

"Nightline" recorded a 1.7 rating among adults 18-49, compared to a 1.09 for Leno and a 0.91 for Letterman, and also beat the two talk shows in adults 25-54.

"Nightline" posted a 2.2, compared to a 1.4 for "Tonight" and a 1.2 for "Late Night."
