A sequel to “Jennifer’s Body” is in the works, at least according to Amanda Seyfried.

“I think we’re making another,” Seyfried told a fan at a Toronto screening of her new thriller “Seven Veils.” “I did not confirm it! I said, ‘I think’ … We’re working on it!”

The actress then winked at the delighted fan. The moment was captured in a TikTok video, which you can watch below.

Seyfried starred in the 2009 horror-comedy as Anita “Needy” Lesnicki, the nerdy friend of Jennifer (Megan Fox) who becomes possessed by a demon and starts chowing down on her male admirers at their high school. The onus is then on Needy to save the day and the lives of her classmates. The movie was directed by Karyn Kusama and has become a cult classic in the years since its release.

When the movie first came out, however, it was universally panned by critics. Seeing the film gain a devoted fan base has meant the world to writer Diablo Cody.

“I mean, the movie is everything to me. And it was to me at the time as well, but it just was not understood and it was not embraced,” Cody told TheWrap in an interview last February. “It was really heartbreaking when that movie came out, and it was just — honestly, it wasn’t just unsuccessful, it was trashed.”

In an interview with Bloody Disgusting, Cody further said she would love to pen a second chapter. “I am not done with ‘Jennifer’s Body’… I need to partner with people who believe in it as much as I do, and that has not really happened yet. I need someone to believe in it who has a billion dollars.”

The film also starred Adam Brody, Johnny Simmons, Chris Pratt, J.K. Simmons and more.
