Jennifer Lawrence joked that she soiled herself during an appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman” on Wednesday, but decided to tone down the pants-pooping talk for daytime appearance on Thursday.
“I was getting these really bad abdominal pains for like three weeks and I did that thing where I’m like, ‘I’m not going to go to the doctor.’ Then I finally had a day where I was like no I need to get this looked at,” Lawrence said on “Good Morning America” to address a mystery illness that struck during the “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” Los Angeles premiere.
“Now it’s reported in the news that I went to the emergency room for gas, which is awesome,” she continued. “I was like, ‘I don’t even want to like [deny that]. Let’s confirm that.”

Some stars would be mortified by such headlines, but the 23-year-old Oscar winner embraced them. And she did much more than just “confirm” the news when appearing on the CBS late-night program.
“I thought I had an ulcer, and it turns out it was a fulcer,” Lawrence told Letterman. “I just had this really bad pain for, like, three weeks, and you can only shit your pants so many times a day before you have to go to the emergency room, before you’re like, ‘I need to go to the hospital.”

In all seriousness, the actress who returns to theaters as Katniss Everdeen this weekend agreed with “GMA” host Robin Roberts that the hospital trip “was a scary moment.”
“They’re saying it could either be in my lower intestine, or all in my mind,” Lawrence explained. “So I’m going to cross my fingers that it’s all in my mind.”
Better than her pants.
