“NCIS” and “Blue Bloods” star Jennifer Esposito has joined the cast of supernatural thriller “Mary” opposite Gary Oldman and Emily Mortimer, according to an insider.
“Mary” centers on a struggling family that buys an old ship at auction with high hopes of starting a charter business, only to discover her horrifying secrets once in isolated open waters.
Michael Goi (“American Horror Story”) is directing the feature from a screenplay by Anthony Jaswinski (“The Shallows”).
The film is scheduled to open in theaters in 2019.
Esposito, who is repped by GSA Entertainment, shot her scenes in April,
(For the record: An earlier version of this story erroneously said Esposito was cast after a complain about the roles she was being offered. In fact, she filmed her scenes in April.)
