Jeff Bridges Bowls the First Pitch at an LA Dodgers Game, Lebowski-Style (Video)

And it was a perfect strike

Turns out the Dodgers did make a major acquisition at the trade deadline: Veteran pitcher Jeff Bridges.

For at least one game, anyway.

The Oscar-winning actor appeared at Chavez Ravine on Friday to toss out the first pitch, ostensibly to promote his upcoming film “The Giver” (gotta break through to audiences any way you can these days), and decided to deliver the ball in the style of perhaps his most famous character, The Dude from “The Big Lebowski.”

That totes had viral video potential, he must have been thinking — and he was right!

Baseball hasn’t seen an underhanded pitcher in quite a while, and if he can work on not running off the mound during his delivery, perhaps Bridges can disorient hitters enough that he’ll have a real future in America’s Past Time.
