Nearly a month to the day after Donald Trump’s hotly criticized takeover of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha got a taste of just how much people dislike that takeover via loud, sustained booing from the audience below them. Oops.
The Vances were on hand to see the National Symphony Orchestra perform music by Shostakovich and Stravinsky. But as soon as they were recognized, audience members treated the second couple to an unannounced opening act that lasted more than 30 excruciating seconds.
