JC Chandor to Direct Spider-Man Villain ‘Kraven the Hunter’ Movie for Sony Pictures

Project is being billed as the next chapter of Sony’s universe of Marvel-licensed characters

JC Chandor is being eyed to develop and direct “Kraven the Hunter” a “Spider-Man” spin-off movie based on the iconic villain for Sony Pictures, according to an individual with knowledge of the project. Another individual with knowledge of the project tells TheWrap that Chandor’s deal is far from finalized.

The project is being billed as the next chapter of Sony’s universe of Marvel-licensed characters. “The Equalizer” screenwriter Richard Wenk is writing the script. Palak Patel is overseeing for Sony. Matt Tolmach and Avi Arad are producing. Art Marcum and Matt Holloway wrote the screenplay.
