Former “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno took on racism that he doesn’t think is racist while appearing on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Thursday.
“College kids now are so politically correct,” Leno said before telling Meyers a story about how an intern working on Leno’s last year of “Tonight Show” called him “racist” for not liking Mexican food.
“Being anti-guacamole is not racist,” Leno argued. “You have no idea what racism is. That’s not racist, you idiot. You moron.”
Leno continued to amuse the Meyers with the subject of race by talking about his Italian grandfather’s views on ethnic food.
“He only ate Italian food. It was always amazing to him that he would eat out of their ethnic groups,” Leno said. “Like he would say, ‘Oh my God! A Chinese guy with a hot dog, look at that!’”
“I like how he thought those were the walls we had to break down,” Meyers joked.
