Jason Jones is leaving “The Daily Show,” but his wife Samantha Bee is staying with the Comedy Central show.

The married couple’s new TBS family comedy landed a 10-episode order on Tuesday. The two wrote the pilot and executive produce the show together, although only Jones stars on it opposite Natalie Zea.

While the Jones announcement follows Jon Stewart‘s own declared departure, in all likelihood, the Best F#@king News Team Ever correspondent will leave the late-night show before the host does. The timing is a coincidence, TheWrap was told, as the untitled family road trip comedy just happens to be the Jones pilot (of many over the years) that has been picked up.

Jones’ departure date remains to be announced, same with Stewart’s — but both will say goodbye this year.

The longterm member of Stewart’s joke squad tweeted on Tuesday: “For 9 & 1/2 years, I have worked at one of the greatest TV shows of all time. But … It is time for me to go.”

“That said, I am ecstatic to announce that I’m about to make another great show over @tbsveryfunny,” he added.

Jones’ new dark comedy will follow a couple and their two young kids as they take a road trip to Florida. Jones plays unfiltered dad Nate, who packs his wife Robin (Zea) along with their rebellious daughter Delilah (Ashley Gerasimovich) and simpleton son Jared (Liam Carroll) into the family car for what Nate is convinced will be the adventure of a lifetime. Every leg of their trip, however, is fraught with unforeseen disaster as they encounter one hellish turn after another.

Plans call for each season of the show to chronicle a different family adventure. The series will premiere in the fourth quarter of this year.
