It’s official, all of Rory’s ex-boyfriends will be making an appearance on Netflix’s “Gilmore Girls” revival, with the streaming platform announcing Thursday that Jared Padalecki will return as Dean.
David Sutcliffe, who played Christopher, Rory’s father, will also be returning.
News of Padalecki’s return comes just a day after it was announced that Milo Ventimiglia would be returning as Jess, a fellow love interest for Alexis Bledel‘s character Rory.
Matt Czuchry, who played Logan, Rory’s final boyfriend on the long-running Warner Bros TV series, is also returning.
The new series, which is untitled, will be produced by Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Bledel, Lauren Graham, Scott Patterson and Kelly Bishop are returning, and Sean Gunn, Keiko Ageno, Liza Weil and Yanic Truesdale are also on board to reprise their roles.
Melissa McCarthy has publicly declared she will not reprise her role of Sookie, claiming she was not asked to return.
Padalecki is a series regular on The CW’s “Supernatural,” now in its eleventh season. He is represented by UTA and Industry Entertainment. Sutcliffe’s TV credits include “Private Practice” and “Proof.” He is repped by Don Buchwald and Associates.
