Janet Jackson is the latest entertainer to take to social media to make major career announcements, announcing new music and a new world tour to take place in 2015.
“I promised you would hear it from my lips, and now you will,” the singer shared in a new video on Twitter late Friday. “This year, new music, a new world tour, a new movement.”
The new video is a direct reference to a tweet from last August, where she said, “If there is a new project, you’ll hear it from my lips.”
The announcement tweet has the hashtag #ConversationsInaCafe, which many are speculating is the name of her new album.
Jackson hasn’t released an album since 2008’s “Discipline.”
