The Jan. 6 Committee has set next Thursday, Oct. 13, for its final presentation after a delay to steer clear of Hurricane Ian.

The hearing had been scheduled for Sept. 28, but postponed it so lawmakers could focus on the storm threatening Florida. Like previous hearings, next week’s presentation will be broadcast on network and cable television.

Committee members have said this would be the last hearing, a least before the midterm elections. While leaving open the possibility of future presentations, committee leaders have indicated that Thursday will mark the closing argument of this round of the investigation.

The Special Committee has held eight hearings so far, the last being on July 21.
