Jamie Lynn Spears is welcoming audiences back into her life with upcoming TLC special “Jamie Lynn Spears: When The Lights Go Out.”

After receiving backlash from the media over her pregnancy at age 16, the singer took a near decade-long break from the spotlight.

Now 25, Spears wants to tell her side of the story. In the hour-long special, Spears aims to show viewers that she’s more than Britney’s younger sister or an adorable young Nickelodeon star.

Between balancing her career and family, Spears is attempting to make a name for herself, with an opportunity of a lifetime to perform at Grand Ole Opry, the most recognized stage in country music.

Perhaps complicating Jamie Lynn’s attempt to step out of Big Sis’ shadow, Britney Spears makes an appearance along with older brother Bryan to support their little sister just before she’s set to take the stage.

The one-hour special premieres on Sunday, June 26 at 10/9c on TLC.
