Jamie Foxx had a tearful meeting with the father of the man he saved from a burning truck on Monday, and shared an emotional Instagram photo to go along with it.
“Met the father of the young man from last night today,” the actor wrote. “This is all that matters. That a man, a son, a brother’s life was spared last night. God had his arms wrapped around all of us… No heroes… Just happy fathers.”
The photo shows Foxx in a warm embrace with the grateful parent. The “Django Unchained” star made headlines on Monday for pulling a driver identified as Brett Kyle from the wreckage of the car rolled multiple times, and caught fire.
According to CNN, Foxx and an off-duty EMT cut Kyle from his seatbelt and dragged him out of the pickup. When the fire department arrived at the scene, the car was fully engulfed in flames.
“I don’t look at it as heroic. I just look at it as … you just had to do something,” Foxx had told KCAL. “It all worked out.”
