Fox Business Network has been playing offense after CNBC’s debate debacle, and 21st Century Fox CEO James Murdoch thinks the network’s upcoming GOP debate has the makings to “differentiate” FBN.

“We think [debate] is a great opportunity to showcase and differentiate Fox Business in terms of depth, quality and production,” he said on the company’s earnings call on Wednesday.

Following CNBC’s debate, which was widely panned by the candidates and media, FBN ran an ad that attacked main business news competition.

“CNBC never asked the real questions, never covered the real issues,” a Fox narrator said. “That’s why on November 10 the real debate about our economy and our future is only on Fox Business Network.”

The network is coming off its highest-rated month in its history so a strong debate could build even further on that momentum.

Fox Business hosts its debate on Nov. 10.
