James Corden Auditions for Channing Tatum’s ‘Magic Mike Live’ Show (Video)

“I clearly got sexiness, and I got an ab,” Corden says as he tries to convince the actor he can be part of the sexy show

When James Corden auditions for Channing Tatum’s “Magic Mike Live” show, hilarity ensues.

In a “Late Late Show With James Corden” sketch on Wednesday, Corden auditioned for the live show, but at first, Tatum was a little — or a lot — hesitant.

“I don’t know if you’re exactly ‘Magic Mike’ material,” Tatum told Corden. “First, you need stamina, you need sexiness, and you need, uh, abs.”

“I clearly got sexiness, and I got an ab,” Corden responded.

A variety of different nicknames were hurled at Tatum, including Chandler Bing and Chancing with the Stars, but nothing seemed to convince Tatum that Corden has what it takes to be Magic James.

Corden did get to audition, but he accidentally chest bumped a fellow dancer and threw his back out. But in the end, Corden somehow came through and became part of the “Magic Mike Live” crew.

“We are all ‘Magic Mike’ tonight,” Tatum tells the crew.

“They’re chanting your name,” Tatum told Corden, but Corden replied, “I’ve got ears — they are chanting your name.”

Corden took the stage wearing his Magic James shorts and kills it on stage, with female fans throwing dollar bills at the comedian. He seemed part of the crew, until he told Tatum, “I’m going to dance solo.”
