“Jackass” personality Bam Margera was arrested for DUI on Sunday morning, a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol told TheWrap.
Margera, whose real name is Brandon Margera, was arrested at 8 a.m. Sunday morning at the intersection of Venice Blvd. and Cadillac Ave., the CHP spokesman said. The CHP made contact with Margera after he was spotted on his cell phone in his vehicle. After the CHP detected the odor of alcohol, Margera was administered a field sobriety test and was subsequently arrested, according to the CHP.
Margera was released Sunday, the CHP spokesman said.
In 2009, Margera was reportedly hospitalized following a four-day drinking binge. After the reported hospitalization, Margera told TMZ, “I may get a divorce … booze helps.”
