J.K. Rowling hilariously shut down a troll on Twitter who bashed her longtime friend, tennis champ Serena Williams.
The “Harry Potter” author posted a series of tweets after Williams snagged the Wimbledon title on Saturday, including: “I love her. What an athlete, what a role model, what a woman!”
One Twitter user (@diegtristan8) disagreed, tweeting back, “Ironic then that main reason for her success is that she is built like a man.”
Rowling wasn’t amused.
She came to Williams’ defense with a picture of the tennis athlete in a dress and a caption reading, “Yeah, my husband looks just like this in a dress. You’re an idiot.”
A flurry of other Twitter users voiced their support against Williams’ critic.
