J.J. Abrams is donating more of the world’s most valuable currency — information about “Star Wars: Episode VII” — to inspire you to donate some actual legal tender to UNICEF.

The normally secretive Abrams has been leaking details about the feverishly anticipated film to help Star Wars: Force for Change, a charity contest raising money for projects in UNICEF’s Innovation Labs. The latest reveal is an X-Wing starfighter from the film’s London set.

The campaign, which raised more than $1 million in its first 16 hours, has raised more than any other in the history of Omaze, which is running the contest. It has received donations from 119 countries. They will support projects like the MobiStation, a portable, solar-powered educational kit to ensure children have access to quality learning anywhere, as well as Rapid FTR (Family Tracing and Reunification), a mobile phone application that helps reunite families in natural disasters.

To entice potential donors who need more than the satisfaction that comes from helping others, the contest is offering a winner and friend the opportunity to fly to London and be filmed for a scene in the movie. The latest perk is the chance to win a special sneak preview screening of “Star Wars: Episode VII” in one’s hometown, which might instantly make the winner the most popular person in that town.

Disney has also pledged $1 million to the charity. Fans can enter until 11:59 pm on July 25.
