The just-released trailer for "Iron Man 3" makes it seem like the old whiskey-swilling, skirt- chasing Tony Stark is no more.
This go-round, Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is haunted by nightmares and can't get his old swagger back after saving the world in "The Avengers."
"Honestly, there’s 100 people who want to kill me," Stark says. "I just hope I can protect the one thing I can’t live without."
Cut to Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper Potts in a very bad situation.
There are also explosions and close calls aplenty, not to mention a shot of Iron Man's main antagonist in part three — the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley). Based on his voiceover it sounds like Sir Ben went a little heavy on the old autotune, but the character could be genuinely menacing.
"Some people call me a terrorist," the Mandarin says. "I consider myself a teacher. Lesson number one: Heroes, there is no such thing."
We'll get the rest of the lesson on May 3, 2013 when "Iron Man 3" storms into theaters.
What do you think? Will "Iron Man 3" be as good as "The Avengers"?
