Iowa Backs Barack Obama — on YouTube

“Iowa Filmmakers” responds to mainstream media’s characterization of their state

Listening to the media talk about Iowa, you’re likely to think it’s a conservative, evangelical hotbed where fringe candidates like Ron Paul and Rick Santorum can win the GOP primary.

Well Iowa has responded, as the "IowaFilmmakers" posted a video on YouTube addressing all the misconceptions about their state.

“You heard were a bunch of knee-jerk conservative reactionaries,” Scott Siepker says holding a Barack Obama sign. “I guess that’s why we went Democratic in five out of the last six presidential elections. How you like me now?”

Iowa was early on the gay marriage bandwagon and the first U.S. state to have a female lawyer.

Oh and farming? “Sitdown Son.”

One Iowa farmer feeds 155 New Yorkers and the average Iowa farm is larger than 300 football fields, Spiezek says.

"So stop worrying about what we know and spend a little more time worrying about what you don't know."

Next time you fly over, give them a wave. Iowa, out.
