Disney released the first teaser for Rob Marshall’s upcoming “Into the Woods” Thursday — a modern, musical amalgamation of several beloved fairy tales. The all-star includes Chris Pine, Anna Kendrick, Emily Blunt, Johnny Depp and Meryl Streep.
“I wish…” says Lilla Crawford as Little Red Riding Hood.
“I wish…” adds Daniel Huttlestone as Jack (on a beanstalk.)

“I wish…” chimes in Anna Kendrick as Cinderella.
“You wish to have the curse reversed?” asks a witched-out Streep as she bursts through a door like Jason Statham in a “Transporter” sequel.

Disney pushed out several striking images of the disparate, eccentric band of characters Wednesday, and this teaser is further proof that director Rob Marshall (“Chicago”) turned in a subversive and darkly comedic take on James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s Tony-winning musical.
Producers include Marshall, John DeLuca, Marc Platt and Callum McDougall.
