The first trailer for “Divergent” sequel, “Insurgent,” has arrived and it looks like a nightmare. Literally.
The 60-second teaser (above) features heroine Tris (Shailene Woodley) trying to save her mother (Ashley Judd) — who died in “Divergent” — from a burning house magically levitating in the air.
Since it’s a dream, maybe audiences can forgive the mediocre visual effects and still manage to get excited for the next adventure in Summit’s young adult franchise adapted from author Veronica Roth‘s trilogy of novels.
The March 20 releases follows Tris on the search for allies and answers in the ruins of Chicago, while she’s on the run with Four (Theo James) from Jeanine (Kate Winslet), the leader of the power-hungry Erudite elite.
