“Marvel’s Inhumans” was on a bit of a roll last night — that is, until CBS’ “Hawaii Five-0” and NBC’s “Dateline” came on TV.
The ABC comic-book series averaged a 0.9 rating in the key 18-49 demographic and a 4 share last night, tallying 3.8 million total viewers along the way. The two-hour broadcast television premiere topped the main demo at 8 p.m., but not at 9.
“Inhumans,” which was first rolled out in IMAX theaters, didn’t put up much of a fight among overall viewers. While ABC ended up finishing second in Friday’s primetime among adults 18-49, according to Nielsen’s Live + Same Day numbers, the network was third in terms of total eyeballs. CBS was No. 1 outright.
At 8, “Inhumans” (just barely) bested CBS’ “MacGyver” season premiere and Fox’s new “Hell’s Kitchen” start among viewers 18-49, we well as repeats on NBC and The CW. “MacGyver” crushed everyone in total viewers.
An hour later, CBS’ “Hawaii Five-0” season premiere beat up on everybody. The so-called “Tiffany Network” continued that momentum with the return of “Blue Bloods” at 10.
