INE Entertainment, an independent production company, has promoted Samuel Johnson to vice president of development, emerging and brand. In his newly expanded role, Johnson will be responsible for leading INE Entertainment’s growing portfolio of projects with emerging buyers as well as content partnerships with advertisers and agencies.

Previously, Johnson served as manager of digital and brand at the company, where he developed and produced projects with Complex, Go90, Facebook, Fullscreen, Mountain Dew, Lexus, Capital One and Top Golf. According to the company, he has been instrumental in landing and leading a number of projects, including the live interactive game show “What’s In the Box?” on Facebook Watch, the documentary series “Streetball Stories” with Pepsi’s Creators League Studio and “Rahat’s Terror Traps” with Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud network.

Prior to INE Entertainment, Johnson worked as a producer for Trium Entertainment, another independent production company.

“We’re thrilled to bring Sam into our leadership ranks. As an innovative, creative producer, he’s long been invaluable on some of our most challenging projects,” said INE co-founders Mark Koops and Eric Day.  “Along the way he’s built a stellar reputation with our most important customers and so it’s due time he will now be on the frontline fighting the good fight with us.”

Johnson will report to managing partners, Day and Koops, and SVP of Development, Sarah Davies.
