Idina Menzel, James Corden Bid Goodnight on ‘Late Late Show’ With ‘Dirty Dancing’ Performance (Video)

Fellow guest Kumail Nanjiani looks to be the most confused person of all time

Idina Menzel had the time of her life on Thursday’s “Late Late Show” — so much, in fact, that she was compelled to sing about it.

The Broadway star and “Frozen” voice joined host James Corden in a faux spontaneous number straight out of “Dirty Dancing.” The duo nailed “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes, adding some choreographed moves to their vocals, which all took place in front of an impressive mini-production.

For those wondering — which, let’s be honest, is everyone reading this — Corden and Menzel did stop short of the impressive lift moment from the 1987 film starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

Back on Corden’s couch, guest Kumail Nanjiani, stand-up comedian and star of HBO’s “Silicon Valley,” could not have appeared more confused about what just happened — but the crowd sure dug it.
