ICM Partners has promoted Steven Brown, J.R. Ringer and Matt Smith to agents in the talent department, the agency said Monday. All three had been coordinators and served in the agency’s trainee program.
Brown and Ringer have been at ICM Partners since 2009 with Ringer ascending from the mailroom. Smith started in 2011.
Several agents have left ICM Partners in the past year since it bought out private equity firm Rizvi Traverse and transformed into a partnership. Recent departure Iris Grossman went to Paradigm while a few others joined old boss Jeff Berg at Resolution.
The company has also brought in nearly a dozen agents, such as Bart Walker and Ruthanne Secunda, but ICM Partners' leaders stressed the agency is intent on building from within.
