“‘I, Frankenstein’ is the kind of action thriller IMAX fans seek out,” Greg Foster, CEO of IMAX Entertainment, said in a statement. “The producers certainly have a strong track record – with the “Underworld” franchise having grossed more than $460 million at the global box office – and we’re excited to team up with them once again as they launch this all new cinematic world.”
The film is set 200 years after the whole monster-creation business. It finds the creature (Aaron Eckhart,) embroiled in the middle of a war over the fate of humanity.
The film is written for the screen and directed by Stuart Beattie and co-stars Bill Nighy, Miranda Otto and Jai Courtney.
