Lionsgate is not only asking Lorde to provide a new single for the “Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1” soundtrack, but also trusting her to pick out every other track on the album.

The studio announced on Thursday that the Grammy-winning “Royals” singer will curate the soundtrack for the upcoming sequel to “Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” and provide the first single, herself.

Lorde, a 17-year-old artist from New Zealand, has earned two Grammys and two Billboard awards since her debut album, “Pure Heroine,” has gone platinum.

“Mockingjay – Part 1,” the second to last installment of the massively successful Lionsgate franchise starring Jennifer Lawrence as heroine Katniss Everdeen, hits theaters on Nov. 21.

“Curating the soundtrack for such a hotly-anticipated film was a challenge, but I jumped at the chance,” Lorde said in a statement.  “The cast and story are an inspiration for all musicians participating and, as someone with cinematic leanings, being privy to a different creative process has been a unique experience. I think the soundtrack is definitely going to surprise people.”
