‘Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ Star Jennifer Lawrence Joins Live Tumblr, Facebook Q&As

The film’s director, Francis Lawrence, will join his Catniss on Wednesday

“Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is blanketing social media in advance of its Nov. 22 opening.

Star Jennifer Lawrence will take part in a live “Tumblr Ask” Q&A session with fans at 2 p.m. PT Wednesday. Then, on Nov. 18, Tumblr owner Yahoo will live-stream the red carpet of the sequel’s Los Angeles premiere, beginning at 6 p.m. PT. On the same day, the Lawrence duo will be joined by Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth for a 45-minute Q&A on Yahoo. (The time for the Q&A will be announced Monday.)

Over on Facebook, director Francis Lawrence will  join in on the behind-the-scenes fun also on Wednesday, at 11 a.m. PT  — and while at Facebook’s campus, the gang will debut the first clip of “Catching Fire,” posting it directly to the Hunger Games Facebook Page.

The franchise and its stars are quite popular on the social giant: There are over 31.6 million connections to the cast and “Hunger Games” related Pages on Facebook, “The Hunger Games” itself has over 11 million fans, Jennifer Lawrence has 2.4 million, Liam Hemsworth 1.4 million and  Josh Hutcherson 3.8 million.
