Playboy honcho Hugh Hefner paid tribute to his brother Keith, who died Friday, in a Twitter post later that evening.
In the post, the men’s magazine pioneer referred to Keith Hefner as “my dear brother and best friend.”
“This morning, my dear brother and best friend passed away,” Hefner wrote. “I love you, Keith. Rest in peace.”
The message was accompanied by a photo of the two siblings.
According to TMZ, Keith Hefner died at age 87 in his Beverly Hills, California, home.
In addition to serving as an executive at Playboy, the younger Hefner appeared on the reality series “The Girls Next Door,” and acted in a smattering of movies and TV shows, including “Get Smart.”
The death comes as Hugh Hefner prepares to celebrate his 90th birthday on Saturday.
