Risk-taking doctors are in, thanks to Fox developing a new drama series from Danny Strong, John Requa and Glenn Ficarra.

“Strange Conditions” has landed a put-pilot commitment, with the script from Wes Jones (“Billions”).

It is set in the near future at the New York Institute of Experimental Medicine, and centers on biotechnology experts working to cure medical mysteries with risky treatments.

Jones, Strong, Requa and Ficarra executive produce with Charlie Gogolak and Henry Finder. The project hails from Danny Strong Productions, Zaftig Films and 20th Century Fox TV.

Strong is a co-creator of Fox’s No. 1 series, “Empire.” Requa and Ficarra directed and executive produce NBC’s most-watched show, “This Is Us.”
