When Brian returns home after spending years in Australia, his mother, Aileen, is elated that her child is back and will do anything to take care of him — even if that means compromising her own morals. What begins lesser sacrifices here and there quickly grows sinister when Aileen vouches for Brian after he is accused of committing a violent act against family friend, Sarah. Though Brian seems unaffected by the incident, Aileen becomes haunted by what has happened — and her role in it.
