“How to Get Away With Murder” will be returning for a second season.
ABC aired a promo following Thursday night’s highly-anticipated two-hour finale revealing that the hit series “returns this fall.”
While there has yet to be an official renewal announcement from the network, this is pretty solid evidence that fans of the Shonda Rhimes-produced drama starring Viola Davis can expect their favorite whodunit back soon.
Davis, who plays high-profile defense attorney Professor Annalise Keating, had previously announced on Facebook that she was “on to SEASON 2 BABY,” but ABC refused to comment at the time.
As previously reported, viewers finally discovered who killed Lila during Thursday’s show. “It was always my promise to flash back to the night of the murder,” creator Pete Nowalk told TheWrap. “My favorite part of the last two episodes are the last 10 minutes.
“You just have to pay close attention and not get too distracted because it goes by really fast. There are going to be several jaw-dropping moments,” he promised.
From the creator of “Scandal” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” “How to Get Away With Murder” opened with 14 million total viewers and a 3.8 among adults 18-49 and tied the best series debut of the season with Fox’s “Empire.”
