“House of David” tells the coming-of-age story of the Biblical hero, who took down the giant Goliath with a simple slingshot and later became King of Israel.
Newcomer Michael Iskander stars in the new Prime Video series that tracks David’s rise to power from simple shepherd boy to becoming the third king of the united monarchy.
Executive producers Jon Gunn and Jon Erwin have said the show’s plot line derives primarily from the first few chapters of 1st Samuel in the Bible with many of David’s Psalms included in the show. In addition to being a faithful shepherd, David expressed his adoration for God through poems and music, both of which will be featured in the series.
The first three episodes of “House of David” are available now on Prime Video. Keep reading to discover who will bring the Biblical cast of characters to life on screen.
