ABC is experiencing some "Doubt" with David Shore's latest project — but that's actually a good thing for the "House M.D." creator.
The network has picked up Shore's drama pilot, "Doubt," ABC said Friday.

The pilot centers on a former cop who's now a cunning, but charming low-rent lawyer. The down-market attorney uses his street smarts to work the system for his clients while battling his own demons and wooing his ex-wife.
The pilot is being produced by Sony Pictures Television, with whom Shore inked an overall deal last year.
Though the medical drama "House M.D." — which wrapped its eight-season run on Fox last year — is Shore's most recent hit, he's well familiar with the legal arena, having served as an executive producer on "Family Law," as well as a consulting producer on "Century City" and a producer on "Law & Order."
