“Honeymoon in Vegas,” the musical adaptation of the 1992 comedy of the same name, will kick off its Broadway run this fall with Tony Danza, Rob McClure and Brynn O’Malley returning in the lead roles they played during an acclaimed run at the Paper Mill Playhouse late last year.
Previews begin on Nov. 18 at Broadway’s Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Opening night is set for Jan. 15.

The musical follows Jack Singer (McClure) working up the nerve to get hitched to his girlfriend Betsy (O’Malley) in Las Vegas, only to have the relationship threatened by smooth talking gambler Tommy Korman (Danza), who falls head over heels for her.
Nicolas Cage and Sarah Jessica Parker played the couple in the 1992 Castle Rock Entertainment comedy, while James Caan played the high roller with his eye on the girl.

“Honeymoon in Vegas” features a book by the movie’s writer and director, Andrew Bergman, and a scored by three-time Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown. Gary Griffin is directing the production with choreography by Denis Jones.
