"What happens when your country forgets you?" asks the latest trailer for the second season of "Homeland."
It's a question that once applied to the show's Sgt. Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) — and now applies to ousted CIA agent Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) as well.
The new season finds their old situations reversed. Carrie, once the insider, is now a disgraced civilian. And Brody, once a forgotten prisoner of war, looks to have been freshly elected to Congress.
Not that things will stay that way for long. "Homeland" returns to Showtime Sept. 30, the same night "Dexter" returns.
