Hillary Clinton and Fox, working together in harmony? Improbable as it might seem, it could be so. Sort of.
Fox Television Studios is in early talks to produce NBC's controversial miniseries about the former First Lady and Secretary of State, a spokeswoman for Fox Television Studios told TheWrap on Friday.

The miniseries, which was announced at the Television Critics Association press tour late last month, has drawn criticism even in its nascent stages, and not just from the usual suspects. In addition to the predictable grousing from the GOP, NBC White House correspondent Chuck Todd blasted the project earlier this week, saying that the miniseries would be "a total nightmare for NBC News."
Noting that there's a separation between NBC News and NBC Entertainment, which is responsible for the miniseries, Todd nonetheless opined that NBC News would "own the negative" on the project.

"We know there's this giant firewall, we know we have nothing to do with it," Todd said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe." "We know that we'd love probably to be as critical or whatever it is gonna be if it comes out, but there's nothing we can do about it and we're gonna only own the negative."
Republican National Committee chair Reince Priebus has also threatened to pull the GOP primary debates from NBC if the project goes forward, saying that the network should not be airing "films or documentaries and miniseries about what we know to be a very likely candidate."
Diane Lane has been cast in the role of Clinton for the project, which is being written by Courtney Hunt ("Frozen River").
