Hillary Clinton was revealed as Barbara Walters’ most fascinating person of the year on her ABC News special “Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2013,” but Clinton wasn’t ready to reveal any plans to make another run for President.
“It’s such a difficult decision and it’s one that I am not going to rush into,” Clinton told Walters in an interview (above) that aired on Wednesday night. “And I don’t think we should be looking at the next election, I think we should looking at the work that we have today. Our unemployment rate is still too high, we have people getting kicked off of food stamps who are in terrible economic straits, small businesses not getting credit — I could go on, and on, so I think we ought to pay attention to what’s happening right now.”

After another push from Walters inquiring about her presidential plans, if any, Clinton said she hasn’t “made up her mind.”
“I really haven’t,” Clinton said. “I will look carefully at what I think I can do and make that decision sometime next year.”
The 19th installment of Walters’ annual special was her last before retiring next year, and came full circle since Clinton topped the list 20 years ago when ABC first aired “The 10 Most Fascinating People” in 1993.

“This program was born at the start of the Clinton era,” Walters said during her introduction to the interview. “And it appears we may be at the dawn of another.”
Well, maybe. For now, Clinton remains coy about her intentions to be the first female President of the United States, and says she is just happy to be “hanging out” with her husband, former President Bill Clinton.
Whether it ends up being her or another female politician, Clinton was not shy to emphasize the importance of eventually electing a woman into the Oval Office.

“It matters. It matters because we have half the population that has given so much to building this country, to making it work, raising children and, of course, I want to see women eventually in the White House,” Clinton said. “If you look at my friends and former colleagues, who are now in the Senate, it was the women senators, on both sides of the aisle, who finally broke the fever over the government shutdown and the debt limit. … They have been working across party lines, and we need more of that.”
The remaining nine fascinating folks who made Walters’ list this year include Jennifer Lawrence, Miley Cyrus, Edward Snowden, Prince George of Cambridge, the Robertson family from “Duck Dynasty,” Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, “Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts and Pope Francis.
