Hillary Clinton is on a roll.
Asked about rival Donald Trump’s complaints about his microphone during Monday’s presidential debate, Clinton had a zinger prepared.
“Anybody who complains about the microphone is not having a good night,” she said Tuesday, as she walked away from reporters.
After Clinton, by most accounts, won the debate, Trump told reporters he had been given a “defective mic.” The Republican nominee went on to ponder whether he may have been given a bad mic “on purpose.”
The fight over the mic was just the latest caustic exchange between the candidates.
During the debate, Trump questioned Clinton’s stamina, saying, “She doesn’t have the look. She doesn’t have the stamina. I said she doesn’t have the stamina. I don’t believe she does have the stamina.”
Clinton shot back: “As soon as he travels to 112 countries and negotiates a peace deal, a cease fire, a release of dissidents, an opening of new opportunities in nations around the world, or even spends 11 hours testifying in front of a congressional committee, he can talk to me about stamina.”
See Clinton’s microphone diss above. And be sure to listen all the way to the end. The best part is the reporter’s reaction as Clinton departs from the scene. Priceless.
