Milo Ventimigilia is going to make a killing (or killings) on Fox’s “Gotham.”
The actor has been cast in a recurring role on the Batman prequel series. He’ll play Jason Lennon, a.k.a. the Ogre, in a multiple-episode arc starting with Episode 19.
The character — which is newly created for the Warner Bros. TV-produced series and not part of the DC canon — is described as handsome, wealthy and seductive.
A serial killer, the Ogre has been preying on Gotham’s young women for nearly a decade, luring them into his web and confronting them with a series of “tests” as he searches for his perfect mate. When the women fail to live up to his impossible standard, Lennon disposes of them quickly and viciously. His obsessions, combined with Det. Jim Gordon’s (Ben McKenzie) determination to bring him down, send both men — and those around them — on a course toward tragedy.
Ventimiglia is best known for playing Peter Petrelli on NBC’s “Heroes.” Currently, he’s a regular on ABC’s upcoming drama “The Whispers.” His other television credits include TNT’s “Mob City” and WB’s “Gilmore Girls.” He also stars in and produces the web series “Chosen” for Sony Crackle. He’ll next star on the big screen in The Weinstein Company film “Grace of Monaco.”
