Here’s What Hillary Clinton Thinks of Kanye West’s 2020 Presidential Bid (Video)

“He said he wanted to run in 2020. I would only ask him, if I’m running for reelection, to wait,” candidate tells Ellen DeGeneres

Hillary Clinton has weighed in on Kanye West’s designs for the White House. Appearing on Ellen DeGeneres’ chat show, the presidential hopeful said she’d like Mr. West to wait a while.

“Well, I heard him make the announcement and he said he wanted to run in 2020. I would only ask him, if I’m running for reelection, to wait,” Clinton said.

“But otherwise a lot of people want to run for President these days,” the candidate added, presumably referring to real estate mogul Donald Trump and his own relentless campaign.

“It seems like a lot of people do want to run. I don’t understand it myself,” DeGeneres said. Watch the full clip here.

West told the crowd at the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 30 his intentions to take the nation’s highest office while accepting the Video Vanguard award.

“And yes, as you probably could’ve guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president,” he said before his higher power and the entire Kardashian family.

Bits from Clinton’s Ellen appearance have been rolling out, like an earlier clip in which the former Secretary of State addressed her recent email scandal.

“I used a personal email account. It was allowed by the State Department,” Clinton said. “But I should have used two different accounts. I made a mistake and I’m sorry for all the confusion that has ensued.”
