The final season of “A Series of Unfortunate Events” debuts on New Year’s Day

Netflix has released its monthly list of what will be available to stream on the platform, including the final season of “A Series of Unfortunate Events,” a docuseries about the botched Fyre Festival and all four of the “Indiana Jones” movies.

“A Series of Unfortunate Events,” an adaptation of the beloved Lemony Snicket book series starring Neil Patrick Harris, will return on New Year’s Day, kicking off 2019’s deluge of Netflix original series and films, which will also include a still-undated second season of “The Punisher” sometime in January.

Also debuting from Netflix next month are a new unscripted show starring organizational guru Marie Condo, a documentary series about the spectacular, the criminal failure of the Fyre music festival, a talk show led by rapper and activist Killer Mike, as well as new seasons of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” “Grace and Frankie”  and “Friends From College.”

As for non-Netflix exclusives, subscribers can catch Ryan Murphy’s awards darling “The Assassination of Gianni Versace”; Disney’s two most recent superhero offerings, “The Incredibles 2” and “Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp”; the standalone Han Solo film “Solo: A Star Wars Story”; Guillermo del Toro’s Oscar-winning “Pan’s Labyrinth”; the Ryan Reynolds-led romantic comedy “Definitely, Maybe”; and all four of Harrison Ford’s “Indiana Jones” movies.

Notable movies and shows leaving the streamer in January include “Friday Night Lights,” the “Godfather” trilogy, “Marie Antoinette,” “The Shining,” “Rogue One,” three seasons of “Law & Order: SVU” and all five “Sharknadoes,” but definitely not “Friends.”
