“Barry” star Henry Winkler has joined Jessica Barden in the cast of “Pink Skies Ahead,” a drama from director Kelly Oxford, the film’s producers announced Tuesday.

Winkler and Barden will be joined by Rosa Salazar (“Alita: Battle Angel,” “Bird Box”), Lewis Pullman (“Bad Times at the El Royale,” “Battle of the Sexes”) and Devon Bostick (“I Am the Night,” “Okja”). It’s the first feature from Greg Silverman’s new production banner Stampede.

“Pink Skies Ahead” tells the story of a young woman named Winona (Barden) who discovers she has an anxiety disorder after dropping out of school and moving back home.  Winkler will play Dr. Cotton, Winona’s friendly and sharp doctor and former pediatrician whom she visits when she discovers something alarming.

Salazar stars as Addie, Winona’s strong and confident best friend. Pullman plays Ben, a Ph.D candidate who is smitten with Winona after they meet in a nightclub. And Bostick plays Greg, a flirty independent bookstore owner.

“Pink Skies Ahead” will begin production this June in Los Angeles. Stampede’s Greg Silverman and Lisa Zambri will serve as producers alongside Divide/Conquer’s  Greg Gilreath and Adam Hendricks. Gideon Yu and Chris Bosco are executive producing for Stampede, as is Zac Locke for Divide/Conquer.

Winkler currently stars on “Barry,” and his other recent credits include the latest season of “Arrested Development” and Wes Anderson’s next film “The French Dispatch.”

Winkler is represented by CAA and Management 360. Salazar is represented by Paradigm Talent Agency and Vanderkloot Law. Pullman is represented by ICM and Anonymous Content. Bostick is represented by Innovative Artists, Noble Caplan Abrams, and Principal Entertainment LA.
