Tate Taylor, director of “The Help,” has signed on to direct Netflix’s upcoming series “Grace and Frankie,” starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.

“Grace and Frankie” explores what happens when two women bond after their husbands decide to marry each other. The series, created by “Friends” co-creator Lily Tomlin and “Sullivan and Son” writer/producer Howard J. Morris, wlll star Fonda and Tomlin as, respectively, Grace and Frankie, two women who face the last chapter of their lives together, instead of the men they married.
The 13-episode, half-hour series will premiere next year.
