HBO had another stellar year of programming with offerings including “True Detective,” “Game of Thrones” and the final season of “Boardwalk Empire,” but fear not subscribers, 2015 might be just as good, if not better.
While reflecting on 2014 with its annual “Yearender” montage of shows, it gave viewers a glimpse at what is to come in “Game of Thrones” (Peter Dinklage‘s Tyrion Lannister appears to be going undercover while in hiding from his own family), as well as two new series — “Ballers,” starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and “Westworld.”
The latter stars Ed Harris, and follows two guests who get trapped in a futuristic theme park staffed by robots that can help guests live out their fantasies, including what appears to be a trip through the Wild West.
Johnson executive produces half-hour series “Ballers,” which looks into the lives of a group of former and current football players, and leads the cast as a retired athlete living in Miami.
New comedies include “The Brink,” starring Jack Black, and “Togetherness” starring Amanda Peet.
P.S. If you dig the song featured behind all of the imagery, it’s an OK GO jam called “The One Moment.”
