While “Hannibal’s” Season 3 premiere left many unanswered questions — primarily who lived and who died at the end of the last horrifying episode — it delighted fans of the show to death.
After leaving a gory mess in his kitchen, the infamous psychiatrist with twisted psyche and a taste for fine dining is back with his cannibalistic culinary creations in the episode titled “Antipasto.”
Dubbed Fannibals, viewers took to social media in droves to share their excitement over the return of Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) as they posed as a married couple in Florence, Italy.
“The #HannibalPremiere didn’t answer any of my questions, but it made me so, so excited or the rest of this season,” tweeted one user, while others proclaimed it as the “best show on TV right now.”
One viewer was clearly a fan of British actor Hugh Dancy‘s character and begged for his salvation: “Do not eat Will Graham. Shave Will Graham. Give Will Graham a puppy. Put a flower crown on him. Will Graham is not food,” they wrote.
From executive producer Bryan Fuller along with Martha De Laurentiis, Steve Lightfoot, Katie O’Connell Marsh, Elisa Todd Ellis, Christophe Riandee and Sidonie Dumas, “Hannibal” also features Laurence Fishburne, Kacey Rohl and Caroline Dhavernas — assuming they all survived last season’s bloodbath. New to the cast, Tom Wisdom and Richard Armitage guest star this season.
“Hannibal” airs Thursdays at 10/9C on NBC.
